Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT CASABLANCA AIRPORT

The 14 Days Morocco Tour from Casablanca begins and ends in Casablanca. You will be collected from the airport on your arrival. Spend the day at your leisure. We will all meet at 6pm for a briefing from your guide and what to expect for the journey ahead, followed by a welcome dinner and a chance to meet all the ladies on the tour.

Day 2 : Casablanca to Chefchaouen via Rabat

After breakfast, we will leave from Casablanca to Chefchaouen, stopping at Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Rabat is a fascinating place with a blend of historical charm and modern vibrance. Known for its UNESCO-listed medina, stunning seaside Kasbah of the Udayas, and rich cultural heritage, Rabat is a city that beautifully bridges the past and present. In Rabat we will visit the Hassan Tower and the kasbah des Oudayas. Then we will continue to Chefchaouen, famously known as the blue pearl, stunning blue painted streets and buildings that give the town a magical, dreamlike quality. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen offers a serene ambiance, and a rich blend of Moroccan culture and history.

We will arrive at the blue city around 4/5pm. Stroll in the blue alleyways and have your dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 : EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN:

Today's program is for strolling in the blue alleyways of the city. Also, Ras El Ma, an old watering hole, with an entrance to the Medina, is a popular place for both locals and tourists. Furthermore, the Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the main square in chefchaouen, next to it is also the Kasbah (A walled fortress) and the Spanish mosque.

Day 4 : Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes

After breakfast, we will depart to Fes with a stop to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Volubilis is a fascinating archaeological site in Morocco, known for its well-preserved Roman ruins. Located near the city of Meknes, it was once a thriving Roman city and an important outpost of the empire. The site features stunning mosaics, a basilica, a triumphal arch, and other remnants of Roman architecture, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient times.

We will continue onto Meknes city which is one of Morocco's imperial cities and offers a rich tapestry of history, architecture, and culture. It was the capital during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the late 17th century, who transformed it into a grand city, earning it the nickname "Versailles of Morocco." Today, Meknes is famous for its historical landmarks, tranquil atmosphere, and less touristy vibe. We then continue to Fes. Check-in to your hotel.

Day 5 : FES SIGHTSEEING WITH A LOCAL GUIDE:

After breakfast, you meet your local guide and the exploration of Fes begins. Fes is one of Morocco's most captivating cities, renowned for its deep history, cultural richness, and vibrant atmosphere. It is home to one of the world's oldest medinas, Fes El Bali, which feels like stepping back in time with its labyrinthine streets, bustling souks, and centuries-old architecture. We start the tour at the Royal Palace. We will continue to the Jewish quarter, where you see a 17th-century synagogue. The University of al-Qarawiyyin, founded as a mosque and then became one of the leading spiritual and educational centres of the historic Muslim world. The Chouara Tannery, the largest and oldest at the oldest Medina quarter of the city, surrounded by leather shops with terraces from where you look down onto the pits.

Furthermore, you will take a walk around old souks (markets) of Fes, and wander between the narrow alleys of the old Medina. Have an amazing lunch in one of the narrow streets in the heart of the old Medina.

Day 6 : Fes to Merzouga Desert (via Ifrane, Midelt, and Erfoud)

After breakfast, we will leave Fes travelling towards Ifran, a beautiful mountain village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas Mountains. Stopping in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may sight Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills. We will will be travelling through the fascinating TizNtalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, where you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel along the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud. Upon your arrival to Merzouga desert. We will take a camel ride to the desert camp.  The camel ride takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes including an amazing stop for an incredible sunset at the top of a high dune in the middle of the desert.

Arriving at the well-equipped camp, you will be welcomed with Moroccan tea followed a delicious dinner and sitting around the fire admiring the stars and dancing to traditional Berber music.

Day 7 : Sahara Desert Exploration
  Early wake up to watch the spectacular sunrise over the desert. After a tasty breakfast at the camp we head off through the Merzouga desert, driving in the dunes of the desert, with panoramic view stops. You will experience nomadic families living in the middle of the desert and experience their culture and their harsh way of living. You trip resumes to the M’ifis mascara mountain mine. The M'ifis mine, located near the Erg Chebbi dunes in Morocco, is an abandoned site with a fascinating history. It was once a bustling hub for extracting kohl, an ancient cosmetic used as eyeliner, along with quartz. During the era of the French Protectorate, the mine played a significant role in Morocco's mineral wealth, contributing to both local use and French exports.Today, M'ifis stands as a ghost town, with crumbling structures and eerie remnants of its vibrant past. The harsh working conditions in the mines, including exposure to toxic smoke, led to many challenges for the miners.

We continue to Khamlia village, settled by the “Sub-Saharan” people, who are famous for their Gnawa music all around the world. Here you will be able to try Berber Pizza, a recommended meal in Morocco this area is famous for.
You wil experience a Sahara Oasis with its palms and and fig trees and different vegetables.
From there on, we drive you to your hotel next to the huge dunes of Merzouga for the night.

Day 8 : Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley (via Rissani and Toudra Gorge)

In the morning after your breakfast at the hotel. We leave the desert to Rissani town. With the legendary history between the 14th and 18th centuries. You explore the largest Souk/market in the area, mainly a sheep and cattle market.

Then, continue your way to Toudra Gorge which is a breathtaking natural wonder located in the eastern High Atlas Mountains. It is a series of limestone river canyons carved by the Todra and Dadès Rivers over millions of years. The gorge is famous for its towering cliffs, which can reach heights of up to 400 meters, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring landscape. A place where nomads still live in caves and come to the water for their sheep, goats and donkeys to drink. After a walk near the freshwater, you hit the road to beautiful Dades, a calm Berber town, with a beautiful green valley filled with fruit trees where we will overnight.

Day 9 : Dades Valley to Marrakech (via Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou)

After breakfast we take the road named “road of thousands Kasbahs. From Dades Valley to Ouarzazate, by Kelaat M’gouna, the city of roses and Skoura city. We arrive at Ouarzazate city, referred to as the Hollywood of Africa. Here we will visit to the Atlas film studio. Then we proceed to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historical backdrop for several famous movies, including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia.
On route to Marrakech, we pass through the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas mountains, through Berber villages, and Tizi N’tichka, the highest pass in Morocco. We will stop for unforgettable photo shots and for admiring the views.
We reach Marrakech around sunset, check into your riad, and have a possible walk to recognize the city a bit before you explore it with a local guide the next day.

Day 10 : MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING WITH A LOCAL GUIDE:

After breakfast our local guide will accompany and show you all the historical sites of the red city Marrakech, including Jemaa el-Fna Square, one of the main cultural spaces in Marrakech founded in the eleventh century, and considered one of the busiest squares in all the world. And Saadian tombs dated back to the Saadian dynasty(1578–1603). Bahia Palace, one of Marrakech’s most impressive buildings that was built at the end of the 19th century and intended to be the most eye-catching palace of all times. The 12th Koutoubia mosque, the most important and largest worship place at that time.

Later on, you will stroll inside the narrow streets of the old Medina *old city and visit the colourful Souks/markets. After lunch in one of the restaurants in the old Medina, you hit the road to the modern area. Where you explore the blue garden of Majorelle and YSL Musume.

Day 11 : FREE DAY IN MARRAKECH:

Today will be a free day in Marrakech to get the chance to do some shopping or partake in activities in the area. An optional lunch at the Almal non profit organisation. An organization that supports courageous women on their journey towards empowerment and financial independence. A list of optional activities will be given to your prior to the trip.

Day 12 : FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA:

After breakfast our 3-hours journey starts to the beautiful Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. Once we get at Essaouira, known as Mogador, you will have your time to enjoy and discover the charming sights of this pretty secret town, including its ancient historical walls, the beautiful blue-whited square, and the pretty souks (markets), as well as the little alleyways of the ancient Medina. Enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh seafood in one of the local restaurants next to the sea.

Day 13 : FROM ESSAOUIRA TO CASABLANCA:

Today you will have the full morning in Essaouira, before our 5 hour drive to Casablanca, where we will enjoy a final dinner together.
